McClain Marks October 7 Attack Anniversary

House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain issued a statement October 7, 2026, marking three years since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.

McClain, a Republican representing Michigan, said the attack killed nearly 1,200 civilians and led to the kidnapping of 251 people. She said President Trump had secured the return of every hostage.

The chairwoman said the anniversary should be met with remembrance for those killed and continued rejection of terrorism and antisemitism.

“We will never allow anyone to minimize or excuse the evil of October 7,” McClain said.

She added: “Terror can never be tolerated, hatred can never be ignored, and October 7 must never happen again.”
